万古焼の湯沸しができる急須のご紹介です。

薄茶色の土をろくろ挽きで成形して

作った器です。

耐熱土で出来ているので直火で湯を沸かせる

ことができる急須です。

本来、煎茶道で使われる「湯沸し」とか

「ボーフラ」と呼ばれ「涼炉」と呼ばれる

小型の湯を沸かす道具の上に置いて

使われます。

土ものですが薄手に作られており、大変軽く

精巧に出来ており作り手の技術の高さが

分かります。

表面はろくろ目と御本と呼ばれる赤みを

帯びた窯変が見られ、土ものの温かみが

あります。

胴が膨らみ上下がすぼまる特徴的な

デザインとなっています。

注ぎ口の内側にはお茶が出る小さな穴が

いくつか空いていて茶葉が出てこないように

なっています。

直接湯を沸かし茶葉を入れ美味しいお茶を

楽しめる器です。

破損の恐れがありますので急激な温度変化は

お避けください。

This piece is shaped on a potter's wheel using light brown clay.

Made from heat-resistant clay, it is a teapot that can be used over an open flame to boil water.

Traditionally used in the sencha tea ceremony, it is referred to as a "yu-wakashi" or "Bofura," and is designed to be placed on a small boiling tool called a "ryōro."

Though it is made from clay, it is crafted with a thin and lightweight design, showcasing the high level of skill of the artisan.

The surface features the potter's wheel marks and a reddish-brown glaze known as "gohon," adding warmth to the piece.

It has a distinctive design with a bulging body that tapers at the top and bottom.

Inside the spout, there are several small holes to prevent tea leaves from escaping while pouring.

This vessel allows you to boil water directly and enjoy delicious tea by adding tea leaves.

Please avoid rapid temperature changes to prevent damage.
