清水焼から祥瑞（しょんずい）の

マグカップのご紹介です。

祥瑞とは元々は中国明代末期に

景徳鎮（けいとくちん）窯で焼かれた染付の

器のことですが、現代では同じような作風で

作られた主に染付の器をことを言います。

素地は白く、作りが丁寧、釉薬掛けは均一で

青色の発色が鮮やかです。

現代では、少し捻じった線の中に染付の柄を

描き込んでいくものをいう場合が

多くなっています。

このマグカップは白磁の生地に染付と赤絵の

両方で手描きされており大変な手間と

高い技術が注がれています。

外側はすき間なくびっしりと描かれており

コスパが高いといえます。

赤絵では亀甲柄など4種類の柄が捻った

感じで描かれ、その他は染付で濃（だみ）の

技法（ぬりつぶし）と、口の部分は内外に

異なる細かい柄が描かれています。

口が上部に行くに従っては緩やかに

広がっており飲みやすく、使いやすく

洗いやすい形状となっています。

白磁の生地は適度な厚みがあって強度があり

軽く繊細さも感じることが出来ます。

Introducing the Shonzui Mug Cup from Kyo Ware (Kiyomizu Ware).

Shonzui originally refers to blue-and-white porcelain made at the Jingdezhen Kiln during the late Ming Dynasty in China. Today, it refers to porcelain made in a similar style, primarily using blue-and-white decoration.

The base clay is white, with a carefully crafted finish and uniform glaze application that gives a vivid blue color.

In modern pieces, it is common to find slightly twisted lines in the design, where the blue-and-white patterns are painted.

This mug cup is a remarkable example, with both blue-and-white painting and red decoration applied by hand, requiring great skill and attention to detail.

The exterior is filled with intricate designs, creating a high-quality piece that offers excellent value.

The red decoration features four different patterns, such as a tortoise shell design, while the rest of the cup is decorated with blue-and-white using the dami technique (solid blue areas). The rim of the cup is decorated with fine patterns both inside and outside.
