重要無形文化財・人間国宝に認定された、高橋敬典の工房より
茶道で使う風炉釜（新品）のご紹介です。
風炉釜は炉釜と比べて小さく、主に５月から１０月までの風炉の時季に使われます。
この釜は肩が張っており、丸みはあまりなく、筒釜ほど寸胴ではないですが
緩やかに、下へ広がっており羽落としの部分からは窄まっています。
片面は鷺がとまっていて、片足を上げている様の地紋があり
もう片面は鷺が飛んでいる様の地紋があります。
どちらを正面にするのかは、使われる方のお好みとなります。
釜の両横にある釜かんを通す鐶付（かんつき）は貝の形をしています。
釜の内側はしっかりと錆止めがされており、白くなっているのは錆止めが
塗られているのと、未使用品であることの証拠です。
また、内側の底には「鳴り」と言われるものが三ついています。
これは釜で湯を沸かすと、シューという何とも言えない音を立てて
気持ちが落ち着きますが、この「鳴り」と言われるものが
この音の発生源となっています。

This is an introduction to a brand-new furogama (portable tea kettle for use with a brazier) from the Keiten Workshop of Takahashi Keiten, a Living National Treasure officially recognized as a Holder of Important Intangible Cultural Property.
A furogama is smaller than a rogama (sunken hearth kettle) and is primarily used during the furo season, from May through October.
This kettle has pronounced shoulders and little overall roundness. While it is not as straight-sided as a cylindrical kettle (tsutsugama), it gently widens toward the lower part and then tapers inward again from the haotoshi area.
On one side, the ground pattern depicts a heron perched and lifting one leg, while on the other side, the ground pattern shows a heron in flight.
Which side is chosen as the front is left to the preference of the user.
The kantsuki (lugs) on both sides of the kettle, through which the kettle rings are attached, are shaped like shells.
The interior of the kettle has been thoroughly treated with a rust-preventive coating. The white appearance inside is evidence both of this protective treatment and of the fact that the kettle is unused.
In addition, there are three protrusions on the inside bottom, known as nari.
When water is boiled in the kettle, it produces a soft, indescribable hissing sound that has a calming effect. These so-called nari are the source of that sound.

风炉釜 鹭地纹
这是由被认定为重要无形文化财产・人间国宝的高桥敬典，其敬典工房所制作的茶道用风炉釜（全新品）的介绍。
风炉釜相较于炉釜尺寸更小，
主要用于每年五月至十月的风炉季节。
此釜肩部外张，整体圆润感不强，
虽不像筒釜那样笔直厚重，
但器形自上而下呈现出柔和的外扩，
自羽落部位开始逐渐内收。
一侧铸有白鹭停立、单脚抬起的地纹图案，
另一侧则为白鹭展翅飞翔的地纹图案。
将哪一面作为正面，
可依使用者的个人喜好来决定。
釜体左右两侧用于穿过釜环的鐶付（环座），
造型为贝壳形。
釜的内侧已施以充分的防锈处理，
内部呈现白色，
正是涂有防锈层且为未使用新品的证明。
此外，在釜内底部设有三个被称为“鸣”的结构。
当在釜中烧水时，
会发出“嘶——”的细微声响，
令人心境安宁，
而这些“鸣”正是产生该声音的源头。
