清水焼　正文 作　古代紋　花生（花瓶・花器）

清水焼から藤平正文 作の花生（花瓶・花器）のご紹介です。

すべてが手作りで成形された茶色の生地に、細かい彫りが全面に施されています。

昔の土器のような雰囲気を持った珍しい花器ですが、下部はすっきりとすぼまっており

胴の部分は一旦膨れてボリュームを持たせてあり、首の箇所がくびれて

口が広がっており、現代風のスマートな形になっています。

また、くびれた首の部分には四足の耳が４つ付けられており、

大きな特徴に一つになっています。

表面の彫は渦巻き状のものや、点紋、線紋などや出っ張ったレリーフ状のものなど

抽象的な模様がほられていて、大昔の土器のようなデザインとなっています。

実際に花を活けて頂くことも出来ますが、この花器だけを飾ることでも

十分に存在感のあるオブジェのような使い方が出来ます。

今までにない多国籍の雰囲気を持った、レアな花瓶といえます。

Kiyomizu Ware Flower Vase by Masafumi Fujihira – Ancient Motif

Introducing a flower vase by Masafumi Fujihira, crafted in the traditional Kiyomizu ware style.

This unique piece is entirely handmade from brown clay and features intricate carvings across its entire surface.

Though reminiscent of ancient earthenware, the vase has a refined, modern silhouette. The lower portion narrows elegantly, the body expands to add volume, and the neck is cinched before flaring outward—resulting in a sleek, contemporary form.

A distinctive feature is the four small, leg-like protrusions (ears) attached around the neck, adding a sculptural element to the design.

The surface is decorated with abstract patterns including spirals, dotted and linear motifs, and raised reliefs, evoking the look of ancient pottery.

While the vase can certainly be used for arranging flowers, it also has a strong presence on its own and can serve as a sculptural art object.

With its rare blend of ancient aesthetic and modern form, it possesses a unique, cross-cultural atmosphere not commonly found in traditional Japanese ceramics.
