創始したものとされ田中宗慶が豊臣秀吉から

「楽」の金印を拝領したことから楽焼の称が

おこったとされています。

楽焼は茶道の盛行に伴い出現した日本独自の

産物であり質・形・色などその特徴はすべて

茶の湯の精神に合致しています。

楽焼は楽家初代の長次郎に千利休が指導して

作らせたといわれ、特に黒楽は千利休が

好んだとされています。
