讃岐塗から木製くりぬきの盛皿（菓子器）

のご紹介です。

熟練の職人さんがノミで彫って作った、

くりぬきの素地に天然のうるしを摺り込み、

幾度も塗り重ねて仕上げたものです。

「象谷塗」（ぞうこくぬり）とは、

香川漆芸の創始者　玉楮象谷

（たまかじぞうこく）の名前をとり

「象谷塗」と呼ばれるようになりました。

ろくろで加工した素地を木地固めして、

生漆を刷毛で何度も摺り込み、その上に

川辺や池に群生しているイネ科の多年草の

稈の中に入っている真菰（まこも）を

漆の上に撒き、さらに漆を摺り込んで

仕上げます。

永年使い込むうちに、艶や独特の陰影が出て

渋い味わいが増してきます。

象谷塗は大変堅牢に出来ており、普段の

日常生活にどんどん使って頂ける漆器です。

ノミ目をわざと残し、ざっくりとした質感と

手作り感が出ており大変な手間と卓越した

技術で作られています。

傷も目立ちにくく、ノミ跡が滑り止めの

役目を持っていたり手にしっくりと馴染む

感覚は、手作りならではです。

卓越した耐久性も持っているので永く

お使い頂けます。

２４ｃｍの盛皿には縁がありお菓子や

お料理などを盛ってお使い頂けます。

平らな面積が大きいので盛り付けやすく、

低い縁があるので使いやすい形状を

しています。

黒一色のシンプルなデザインは食べ物を

引き立ててくれ、力強く飽きのこない

This piece is meticulously crafted by skilled artisans, who carve the wood using chisels and then apply natural urushi lacquer, layering it multiple times to achieve a refined finish.

What is Zokoku-nuri?
Zokoku-nuri, named after Tamakaji Zokoku, the founder of Kagawa lacquerware, is a traditional technique that involves applying raw lacquer with a brush in several layers. Once the base has been turned on a lathe and solidified, makomo, a type of perennial grass found in riverbanks and ponds, is sprinkled onto the lacquered surface. More lacquer is then applied, completing the piece.

With years of use, the lacquer develops a rich luster and unique shading, enhancing the natural beauty and patina of the piece.

Zokoku-nuri is known for its exceptional durability, making it a lacquerware suitable for everyday use. The intentional chisel marks left on the surface add a rustic, handcrafted texture, showcasing the immense effort and expert technique involved in its creation.

The chisel marks also serve a functional purpose, acting as an anti-slip feature and giving the piece a natural, comfortable grip that is characteristic of handmade goods.

关于“象谷涂”
“象谷涂”这一名称来源于 香川漆艺的创始人——玉楮象谷（たまかじ ぞうこく）。

制作过程中，工匠使用 车床加工的木胎，
通过 木地固化，并多次用 刷子涂抹生漆，
然后撒上 生长在河边或池塘中的禾本科多年生植物——真菰（まこも） 的细粉，
再继续涂抹漆液，使其自然渗透融合，最终完成独特的漆面效果。

随着时间的推移，这种漆器会逐渐展现出 光泽与阴影的变化，
其 独特的韵味 会越发显现。
