萩焼　紅陽 作　野点　抹茶碗

萩焼から林紅陽 作の抹茶碗のご紹介です。

野点籠などに入る小ぶりな抹茶碗です。

赤茶色の土をろくろ成形しビワ釉を掛けて

作られています。

肌色に近いやわらかい色合いで表面には

多くのピンホールや貫入が見られ力強い

雰囲気があります。

外側側面にはろくろ目が見られ正面には

白い釉薬の垂れが見られ趣のある景色と

なっています。

手にすっぽり入るサイズで旅先や外出先でも

気軽にお茶を楽しめる抹茶碗です。

使い込んで頂くことで、「萩の七変化」と

言われる色の変化をお楽しみ頂けます。

小ぶりながら、存在感のある抹茶碗です。

Hagi Ware Matcha Bowl by Koyo Hayashi – Nodate (Outdoor Tea) Bowl

Introducing a Hagi ware matcha bowl crafted by Koyo Hayashi.

This is a small-sized matcha bowl, suitable for fitting into a nodate basket for outdoor tea gatherings.

Formed on the potter’s wheel from reddish-brown clay and finished with a loquat-colored glaze, it displays a soft, flesh-toned hue. The surface shows numerous pinholes and kannyū (crackle patterns), giving it a powerful presence.

The potter’s wheel marks are visible on the outer surface, and a flow of white glaze on the front creates an evocative and tasteful scene.

Sized to fit comfortably in the hand, this bowl allows you to enjoy tea casually while traveling or outdoors.

With continued use, you can appreciate the celebrated “Seven Transformations of Hagi,” the unique changes in color and texture that develop over time.
