讃岐塗から木製くりぬきの盛皿（菓子器）

のご紹介です。

熟練の職人さんがノミで彫って作った、

くりぬきの素地に天然のうるしを摺り込み、

幾度も塗り重ねて仕上げたものです。

「象谷塗」（ぞうこくぬり）とは、

香川漆芸の創始者　玉楮象谷

（たまかじぞうこく）の名前をとり

「象谷塗」と呼ばれるようになりました。

ろくろで加工した素地を木地固めして、

生漆を刷毛で何度も摺り込み、その上に

川辺や池に群生しているイネ科の多年草の

稈の中に入っている真菰（まこも）を

漆の上に撒き、さらに漆を摺り込んで

仕上げます。

永年使い込むうちに、艶や独特の陰影が出て

渋い味わいが増してきます。

象谷塗は大変堅牢に出来ており、普段の

日常生活にどんどん使って頂ける漆器です。

ノミ目をわざと残し、ざっくりとした質感と

手作り感が出ており大変な手間と卓越した

技術で作られています。

傷も目立ちにくく、ノミ跡が滑り止めの

役目を持っていたり手にしっくりと馴染む

感覚は、手作りならではです。

卓越した耐久性も持っているので永く

お使い頂けます。

２４ｃｍの盛皿には縁がありお菓子や

お料理などを盛ってお使い頂けます。

平らな面積が大きいので盛り付けやすく、

低い縁があるので使いやすい形状を

しています。

黒一色のシンプルなデザインは食べ物を

引き立ててくれ、力強く飽きのこない

漆器といえます。

Sanuki Lacquerware – Wooden Carved Serving Plate (Confectionery Dish), Zokoku-nuri, 8 Sun (24 cm)

We are pleased to introduce a wooden carved serving plate (confectionery dish) from Sanuki lacquerware.

This piece is hand-carved from solid wood by skilled craftsmen using chisels. Natural lacquer is rubbed into the carved wooden base and repeatedly applied in multiple layers to create the final finish.

Zokoku-nuri is a lacquer technique named after Tamaka-ji Zokoku , the founder of Kagawa lacquer art.

The wooden base, first shaped on a lathe and hardened, is coated many times with raw lacquer applied by brush. Over this surface, makomo (a perennial grass of the rice family, found along riversides and ponds) is scattered, using the pith from inside its stems. More lacquer is then rubbed in, building up the unique finish.

With years of use, a deep luster and distinctive shading will emerge, enriching the vessel with refined character.

Zokoku-nuri is exceptionally durable, designed to be used regularly in daily life. The deliberate retention of chisel marks gives it a rustic, handmade texture, achieved through immense effort and outstanding craftsmanship.

The surface resists visible scratches, while the chisel traces also act as a natural anti-slip texture, allowing it to sit comfortably in the hand—qualities only possible in handcrafted work.

Thanks to its remarkable durability, it can be enjoyed for many years.

This 24 cm serving plate has a low rim, making it suitable for presenting sweets or dishes. Its wide, flat surface allows for easy arrangement, while the shallow edge provides practicality.

The simple all-black design enhances the presentation of food, offering a bold yet timeless lacquerware piece that never loses its appeal.

讃岐涂 木制 挖空 盛皿（点心器） 象谷涂 8寸（24cm）

这是来自讃岐涂的木制挖空盛皿（点心器）的介绍。

由经验丰富的工匠用凿子精心雕刻成形，
在挖空的木胎上反复擦入天然生漆，
经过多次反复涂饰而完成。

所谓“象谷涂”，
是取自香川漆艺创始人 玉楮象谷 的名字，
因此被称为“象谷涂”。

工匠先将木胎在车床上加工后加以木地固封，
再用刷子将生漆多次擦入，
其上撒上生长在河边或池塘中的禾本科多年生草本植物——
真菰的稈中取出的纤维，
然后再擦入漆加以固定完成。

经过长年使用，
会逐渐显现出漆器特有的光泽与独特的阴影，
增添沉稳古雅的韵味。

象谷涂具有极高的坚固性，
是一种能够在日常生活中频繁使用的漆器。

工匠有意保留下凿痕，
呈现出粗犷的质感与手工感，
制作过程耗费巨大心力与卓越技艺。

这种凿痕不仅不易显眼，
还兼具防滑功能，
拿在手中自然贴合的触感，正是手工制品的独特魅力。
