讃岐塗から木製くりぬきの蓋付鉢（菓子器）

のご紹介です。

熟練の職人さんが一彫り一彫りノミで

彫って作った、くりぬきの素地に

天然のうるしを摺り込み、幾度も塗り重ねて

仕上げたものです。

「象谷塗」（ぞうこくぬり）とは、

香川漆芸の創始者　玉楮象谷

（たまかじぞうこく）の名前をとり

「象谷塗」と呼ばれるようになりました。

ろくろで加工した素地を木地固めして、

生漆を刷毛で何度も摺り込み、その上に

川辺や池に群生しているイネ科の多年草の

稈の中に入っている真菰（まこも）を

漆の上に撒き、さらに漆を摺り込んで

仕上げます。

永年使い込むうちに、艶や独特の陰影が出て

渋い味わいが増してきます。

象谷塗は大変堅牢に出来ており、普段の

日常生活にどんどん使って頂ける漆器です。

ノミ目をわざと残し、ざっくりとした質感と

手作り感が出ており大変な手間と卓越した

技術で作られています。

傷も目立ちにくく、ノミ跡が滑り止めの

役目を持っていたり手にしっくりと馴染む

感覚は、手作りならではです。

卓越した耐久性も持っているので永く

お使い頂けます。

小ぶりな蓋付鉢は菓子器としてやご飯や

お料理なども入れて頂けます。

外側全面に象谷が施されておりシンプルな

デザインとなっています。

身と蓋の内側はすり漆塗りで木目が

見え木の風合いを楽しんで頂けます。

Sanuki Lacquerware – Wooden Carved Lidded Bowl (Confectionery Container), Zōkoku-nuri, 15 cm

We are pleased to introduce a wooden carved lidded bowl (confectionery container) from Sanuki lacquerware.

The piece is carved out from solid wood by skilled artisans, who carefully shape it with chisels, one cut at a time. The wooden base is then finished by rubbing in natural urushi lacquer, applied and layered multiple times.

“Zōkoku-nuri” is named after Tamakaji Zōkoku, the founder of lacquer art in Kagawa.

For this technique, a lathe-shaped wooden base is first hardened with a priming coat, onto which raw lacquer is repeatedly brushed and rubbed in. Then, makomo (a perennial grass from the reed family that grows along rivers and ponds) is sprinkled over the lacquer. More lacquer is rubbed in over this, creating the distinctive finish.

With long years of use, the piece develops luster, depth, and refined character, enhancing its tasteful appearance.

Zōkoku-nuri is exceptionally durable, making it a type of lacquerware well suited for everyday use.

The chisel marks are intentionally left, giving the piece a rustic texture and a strong sense of handcrafting. This involves tremendous labor and advanced skill. The chisel marks also make scratches less noticeable, provide a natural anti-slip function, and allow the bowl to rest comfortably in the hand—qualities unique to handmade work.

Thanks to its excellent durability, it can be enjoyed for many years.

This small lidded bowl can be used not only as a confectionery container, but also for rice or other dishes.

The exterior is entirely finished in Zōkoku-nuri with a simple design, while the inside of both the body and lid are finished with suri-urushi (wiped lacquer), allowing the natural wood grain to be appreciated.

向您介绍一款来自赞岐涂的木制镂刻带盖钵（果子器）。

此器以整块木材镂刻而成，熟练的工匠以凿子一刀一刀雕刻打磨成型，再将天然生漆反复擦拭渗入，并多次反复涂覆漆层，方才完成。

“象谷涂”得名于香川漆艺的创始人玉楮象谷，因此而被称为“象谷涂”。

其工艺是：先将木胎在车床上加工成形，再进行木地固化，然后用刷子多次擦拭生漆，在其上撒上生长于河畔或池塘中的多年生禾本科植物真菰（makomo）的髓部，之后再涂抹漆加以收尾。

随着长期使用，器物会逐渐呈现出光泽与独特的阴影层次，愈加散发出古朴雅致的韵味。

象谷涂极为坚固耐用，是可以在日常生活中经常使用的漆器。

工匠有意保留了凿痕，带来一种粗犷质感与手作气息。制作过程耗费大量工时与高超技艺。

器表的凿痕不仅使划痕不易显眼，还能起到防滑作用，且拿在手中十分贴合，这正是手工器物独有的手感。

它还具有卓越的耐久性，可以长久使用。

这款小巧的带盖钵，不仅可以作为果子器，也可盛放米饭或菜肴。

外侧通体施以象谷涂，设计简洁大方。

钵身与盖子的内侧为擦漆工艺，木纹清晰可见，可尽享木材的自然质感。
