日本製の風炉釜のご紹介です。

茶道では一年を炉の季節と風炉の季節に

分けて茶事を行います。

炉は１１月から４月まで、風炉は５月から１０月までとされ

使う釜も、炉用と風炉用でサイズが異なります。

炉用は畳に炉を切った場所で使うので、

大振りの釜が必要になります。

風炉用は紅鉢や面取風炉などにのせて

使うので、小ぶりな釜が必要になります。

今回ご紹介するのは、風炉用の釜ですが、

部屋に炉が切ってない場合や気軽に釜を

かけたい場合は使える釜となります。

千利休好みで、尻張り釜という名称が

ついています。

胴より下の部分が張った形をしていて、

尻の張った形をしているので尻張り釜と

呼ばれるようになったようです。

この釜は、４００年以上前に千利休が

考案して作らせた、歴史ある釜の一つで、

それを模して、リーズナブルな価格で

ご提案いたします。

釜の表面には不規則な凹凸があり侘びた

風情があります。

Made in Japan – Furo Gama (Brazier Kettle)
Shiribari Style – Rikyu’s Favorite Design – With Metal Rings

We are pleased to introduce a furo-gama (brazier kettle) made in Japan.

In the Japanese tea ceremony, the year is divided into two seasons: the ro (sunken hearth) season and the furo (portable brazier) season.
The ro season runs from November to April, while the furo season extends from May to October, and the kettles used for each differ in size.

Because the ro is set directly into the tatami floor, a larger kettle is typically required.
In contrast, a furo kettle is placed on a brazier such as a benibachi furo or men-tori furo, so a smaller kettle is needed.

The piece we are introducing here is a kettle for use with the furo,
but it can also be used in rooms without a sunken hearth or whenever you wish to enjoy a tea gathering in a more casual setting.

This design, known as the Shiribari-gama (“round-bottomed kettle”), was a favorite of Sen no Rikyu.
The name comes from the kettle’s distinctive form—its body swells outward toward the lower part, resembling the curve of the hips.

This type of kettle is said to have been designed by Sen no Rikyu over 400 years ago,
making it one of the historically significant tea kettles.
Our piece faithfully reproduces that classical form, offered at an affordable price.

The surface of the kettle features irregular textures that evoke a refined sense of wabi (rustic simplicity).
Its well-balanced and timeless shape makes it an excellent choice for those purchasing a tea kettle for the first time

日本製風炉釜尻张利休好写带环

这是一款日本制的风炉釜。

在茶道中，一年被分为“炉”的季节与“风炉”的季节，
茶事也依此进行。

“炉”的季节为11月至翌年4月，
“风炉”的季节为5月至10月。
所使用的釜也根据季节而不同，炉用与风炉用的尺寸各异。

炉用釜因使用于切于榻榻米中的炉，因此需要较大的尺寸；
而风炉用釜则置于红钵或切角风炉上使用，
因此需要较为小巧的尺寸。

本次介绍的是风炉用的釜。
即使茶室内没有设置炉，或是想轻松挂釜使用时，
这款风炉釜也非常适合。

此款釜为“千利休好”，名为“尻张釜”。
因其腹下部分外张，形似臀部外扩，
故得名“尻张釜”。

这类釜是约四百多年前由千利休构思并制作的，
