Kiyomizu Ware – Faceted Vase with Green-Blue Glaze by Masafumi

Introducing a faceted vase with green-blue glaze (heki-yū), created by Fujihira Masafumi in Kiyomizu ware.

The surface glaze blends indigo blue and green, with the green softening the intensity of the blue,
resulting in a unique, gentle atmosphere that is easy on the eyes.

Visible brush-like strokes remain on the surface, with irregular vertical marks,
enhancing the hand-painted character of the piece.

The overall shape is natsume (jujube-shaped), an orthodox form for a vase.
Since the mouth does not flare outward, flowers gather neatly and are easy to arrange.

The surface of the vase is vertically faceted, giving it depth and a three-dimensional presence.

Although it is a traditional Japanese-style vase, its colors and ambiance
also beautifully complement Western flowers.

With its substantial size, it exudes both presence and impact.
