清水焼から土渕陶葊 作の芙蓉の湯呑のご紹介です。

赤茶色の土をろくろ挽きで成形し、芙蓉の花が描かれたきれいな湯呑みです。

外側は紫釉を塗って高級感が出ています。

内側は粉引調の白い釉薬が塗られおり、お茶の色が映えて美味しく頂けそうです。

湯呑の形は下部が丸く膨れており、そこから胴中央にかけて緩やかにくびれており

またそこから上部の口へかけて広がっています。

持ちやすく、飲みやすいスタイリッシュな形をしており、

手挽きならではの形となっています。

全てが手づくり、内外共に全面に描かれており、大変な手間と

高い技術が注がれています。

Kiyomizu Ware – Purple-Glazed Teacup with Hibiscus Motif by Toan Dobuchi

This is a teacup by Toan Dobuchi, crafted in the tradition of Kiyomizu ware, featuring a hibiscus design.

The piece is wheel-thrown from reddish-brown clay and decorated with elegant hibiscus flowers. The exterior is finished with a rich purple glaze, giving it a sense of luxury.

The interior is coated with a kohiki-style white glaze, which enhances the color of the tea and makes it appear even more inviting.

The form of the teacup features a rounded, gently swollen lower section, narrowing slightly around the mid-body, and then opening outward toward the rim. This creates a stylish shape that is both comfortable to hold and easy to drink from—an expression of the individuality that comes with hand-throwing.
