山中塗から木製くりぬきの茶巾落としのご紹介です。

茶巾おとしは、茶道の濃茶の際に茶碗の口を拭う小茶巾をのせて出す器で

三日月形の木地の上に、湿らせた小茶巾を置いて、茶碗を拭った後に

半円形にあけられた口の中に、使った小茶巾を落とし入れます。

形は若干丸みを帯びて尻張りになっていて、外側は千筋といって細かい横線の筋が

無数に入っており、溜塗で落ち着いた風合いとなっています。

内側は黒の真塗で、内側と外側は異なる色となっています。

茶巾落としは、主に裏千家が使うようでが、よく考えられているので

活用して頂けるといいかもしれません。

Yamanaka Lacquerware – Wooden Hollowed Tea Cloth Holder – Sensuji Carving – Tame-nuri Urushi Finish

This is a hollowed wooden tea cloth holder (chakinotoshi), crafted in Yamanaka lacquerware.

In the tea ceremony, during the preparation of thick tea (koicha), this vessel is used to present a small tea cloth (ko-chakin) for wiping the rim of the tea bowl. The moistened cloth is first placed on the crescent-shaped wooden top, and after wiping the tea bowl, the used cloth is dropped into the semicircular opening.

The shape is slightly rounded with a flared lower body (shiribari). The exterior features countless fine horizontal lines known as sensuji, giving it a refined texture, and is finished in tame-nuri lacquer for a subdued, elegant look. The interior is finished in jet-black shin-nuri, providing a contrast between the inner and outer colors.

Tea cloth holders of this style are most commonly used in the Urasenke school of tea, and their thoughtful design makes them a highly practical utensil.

“茶巾收纳器”是在茶道泡浓茶时，
用于盛放擦拭茶碗口沿的小茶巾的器物。
在新月形的木胎上，先放置湿润的小茶巾，
擦拭茶碗后，将用过的小茶巾投入器物半圆形开口处的内部收纳。

器形略带圆润并呈收腰鼓腹状，
外壁为“千筋”工艺，即刻出无数细密的横向线纹，
并施以溜涂，呈现沉稳雅致的质感。

内壁则为黑色真涂，
内外壁颜色形成对比，别具格调。

茶巾收纳器主要为裏千家流派所用，
造型与功能均颇为考究，
是一件可充分发挥用途的茶道具。
