越前塗から木製、桐材の黒塗の茶箱の

茶箱とは茶道の点前道具を一式仕込んだ

携帯用の箱のことです。（箱のみ）

抹茶を旅先や野点（野外）で点てて

飲むための木製の箱です。

塗りや材質は様々ですが、最初の利休型は

桐木地で宗旦好みは朱塗り一閑張りです。

茶筅を納めるための穴が空いた掛け子蓋が

付きます。

本来、茶箱には点前の決まりはありません

でしたが裏千家では、玄々斎宗室によって、

点前が考案されました。

この茶箱は全面黒塗で角が面取りされ、

その部分が紅色に塗られ、シンプルな

デザインとなっています。

木地の風合いが分かり、飽きの来ない

永く使える茶箱です。

内側も黒一色でこちらもシンプルで

統一感があります。

落ち着きのある色は高級な雰囲気を

感じることができます。

とても軽いので手軽に持ち運んで頂けます。

昔の茶人は旅先でも、こうした茶箱を

持ちこんで、お茶を楽しんだことが

分かります。
