白い釉薬を掛けて作られています。

胴には内外にろくろ目が見られ、

手づくり感がよく出ています。

最下部の径が最も大きく、大変安定しており

中央部が緩やかにくびれて口がわずかに

広がったスタイリッシュな形をしています。

花を活けやすく、倒れにくい使いやすい

花器といえます。

白釉がメインなので、花を選ばず、

ほとんどの花を引き立ててくれます。

Hagi Ware – By Yuuka Matsuo, Hakukeizan Kiln – White Hagi Flower Vase

We are pleased to introduce a flower vase by Yuuka Matsuo of Hakukeizan Kiln, crafted in the Hagi ware tradition.

Formed on the potter’s wheel using reddish-brown clay mixed with small stones, the piece is finished with a white glaze.

The body bears visible wheel marks both inside and out, highlighting the handmade character.

The base is the widest part, giving the piece excellent stability. The body narrows gently toward the center and then flares slightly at the mouth, resulting in a stylish, well-proportioned form.

It is designed to hold flowers with ease while remaining steady and resistant to tipping—an exceptionally practical flower vessel.

With its predominantly white glaze, the vase harmonizes with any type of flower, enhancing their natural beauty.
