萩焼から白釉の組湯呑のご紹介です。

こげ茶色の小石が混じった粗めの土を

ろくろ成形し白い釉薬を掛けて

作られています。

内外にろくろ目が残され持つと手に

しっくりと馴染みます。

正面にはえくぼが作られ、親指を置く場所が

あり持ちやすくなっています。

形はほぼ寸胴型で口は若干外側に反った

羽反り型で飲みやすくなっています。

高台は萩特有の切高台となっており、特徴と

なっています。

高台の付近は釉薬の上からでも土の風合いが

見られ、荒々しく力強い雰囲気と

なっています。

使い込んで頂くと「萩の七変化」を楽しんで

頂けます。

白釉はお茶の色がきれいに見え、その風合い

からお茶を美味しく楽しんで頂ける

湯呑といえます。

Hagi Ware – White Glaze “Ekubo” Handcrafted Pair of Teacups

Introducing a pair of white-glazed teacups from Hagi ware.

They are wheel-thrown from coarse clay mixed with dark brown pebbles, and finished with a white glaze.

Wheel marks are intentionally left on both the interior and exterior, giving the cups a natural texture that fits comfortably in the hand.

On the front, a small dimple (ekubo) is formed, providing a place for the thumb and making the cup easy to hold.

The shape is nearly cylindrical, with the rim slightly flaring outward in a hazori style, making it comfortable to drink from.

The foot is the characteristic Hagi-style kiri-kodai (cut foot), which adds to its distinctiveness.

Near the foot, the texture of the clay can be seen even beneath the glaze, imparting a bold and vigorous feeling.

With continued use, you can enjoy the “Seven Transformations of Hagi” (Hagi no Shichihenge), the unique way Hagi ware changes in appearance over time.

The white glaze highlights the color of tea beautifully, enhancing the experience of enjoying your drink with elegance and flavor.

萩烧白釉酒窝手工组合茶杯

这是一套来自萩烧的白釉组合茶杯。

采用混有深褐色小石的粗质陶土拉坯成型，并施以白釉烧制而成。

杯身内外保留了拉坯时的旋纹，握在手中自然贴合掌心。

正面特意留有一个“酒窝”，可放置拇指，拿握更加方便。

造型几乎为直筒形，口沿略微向外翻卷，为羽反形设计，饮用时更为顺畅。

高台为萩烧特有的“切高台”，极具特色。

在高台附近，即便覆有釉药，也能隐约显露陶土的质感，散发出粗犷而有力的气韵。
