ご紹介です。

美濃焼の代名詞ともいえる、志野焼の

ぐい呑みです。

志野焼は大変手間のかかる焼き方をするため

専門のノウハウがあり、独自の技術が必要と

なります。

人が完全にコントロールできない、焼き物の

独自の世界がそこにはあります。

気温や湿度、天候などの様々な条件で

変化して、同じものが出来ない独自の

炎の芸術といっても過言ではありません。

力強いイメージで作られており、微妙な

釉薬の色合いと焼成で志野独特の世界観を

作りあげています。

このぐい呑みは鼠（ねずみ）志野といって、

白土を成形しグレーに仕上げられています。

釉薬が窯で焼成中に裂けたり、ピンホールが

出来て赤茶色の色が見えており、

独特の味わいが出ています。

貫入も入っており、釉薬の流れや変化があり

動きのある風合いになっています。

切立型ですが、胴には凹凸があり口の下で

一旦くびれ、口は外側に反っており、

飲みやすくなっています。

凹凸が手にしっくりと馴染み、持ちやすく

安定感もあります。

This guinomi represents Shino ware, which can be described as the very symbol of Mino ware.

Shino ware requires an extremely labor-intensive firing process, demanding specialized knowledge and unique techniques. It belongs to a world of ceramics that resists complete human control.

Each piece changes under various conditions—such as temperature, humidity, and weather—and no two works can ever be identical. It is no exaggeration to call it an art of flame, born from uncontrollable natural elements.

With a bold presence, this vessel embodies the distinctive Shino aesthetic through subtle glaze tones and the effects of firing.

This guinomi is a type known as Nezumi Shino (“Gray Shino”), shaped from white clay and finished in a gray tone. During firing, the glaze cracks and pinholes appear, revealing reddish-brown hues that enhance its unique character.

It also displays kan’nyū (crazing), along with flowing and shifting glaze patterns, creating a lively, dynamic texture.

The form is kiritate-gata (straight-sided), yet the body has undulations; it narrows once beneath the rim before flaring outward, making it comfortable to drink from.

The uneven surface fits naturally in the hand, offering ease of grip and stability.
