人間国宝塚本快示の快山窯の器です。

何とも言えない、品のある、きれいな

水青色の青白磁は、さすが素晴らしい

仕上がりです。

青白磁といえば、快山窯と言われるほど、

美濃焼では大変有名です。

透明感があり、ほんの少しだけ青色がかった

青白磁は彫紋が美しく気品を

感じることが出来ます。

中央に吉兆を象徴する瑞鳥が飛び、

その周囲に唐草が彫られた縁起のいい柄が

施されています。

唐草の蔓が伸びて広がる様は、家が繁栄し

末永く続くことを意味し、家運興隆、

子孫繁栄の願いが込められています。

皿の縁は輪花といって花の輪郭を模した

造形となっています。

皿の中央部はほぼ平らなので、お料理や

お菓子などが盛りやすく使いやすく

なっています。

流麗な文様と高い技術が注がれた

美の極致といえる器です。

We are pleased to present a 7-sun plate in celadon porcelain from Mino ware.

This piece is crafted at Kaizan Kiln by Kaiji Tsukamoto, a Living National Treasure.

The refined and elegant water-blue celadon possesses an indescribably beautiful hue, showcasing a truly superb finish.

Kaizan Kiln is renowned in the world of Mino ware to such an extent that it is often said, “When it comes to celadon, it is Kaizan Kiln.”

The translucent celadon, tinged faintly with blue, features exquisitely carved motifs that convey a sense of dignity and grace.

At the center of the plate, an auspicious bird symbolizing good fortune is depicted in flight, while its surroundings are adorned with arabesque patterns, forming a congratulatory and celebratory design.

The expanding vines of the arabesque motif represent the prosperity and continuity of the household, embodying wishes for success, longevity, and the flourishing of future generations.

The rim of the plate adopts a “rinka” (flower-petal shaped) form, modeled after the outline of a blooming flower.

Because the central area of the plate is nearly flat, it is highly practical, allowing dishes and sweets to be plated with ease.

This is a work that can be called the pinnacle of beauty, born from flowing motifs and the highest level of craftsmanship.
