常滑焼から手づくり急須のご紹介です。
常滑焼の急須は鉄分を多く含んでいるため
お茶の味がまろやかになると
言われています。
黒泥をろくろ成形し無釉で焼き締めて
作られています。
黒泥のみで黒一色のマット調・艶消しで
シンプルなデザインです。
胴にはろくろ目が見られ、手づくりの質感を
感じられます。
口が広いので茶葉が入れやすく、捨てやすい
洗いやすい形状をいています。
内側が洗いやすく、乾燥させやすい
ので常に清潔さを保つことが出来
とても衛生的です。
全体の形は桶型といって緩やかに上部が
広がっている安定した形をしています。
内側の網は陶器製で精巧なものとなっており
金網が必要ないタイプです。
この茶こし網も急須本体も全て手づくり
されており、熟練の職人技を注ぎ込んで
作られています。
蓋は落ちにくいようズレなく少し重めに
作られ、注ぎ口は液だれしにくく
湯切れもよく、実用的で使いやすい器です。
蓋も平たいので、片手でも親指で蓋を
押さえながらお茶を注ぐことが出来、
機能的でもあります。

Tokoname teapots contain a high amount of iron, which is said to mellow and enhance the flavor of tea.
This teapot is made by shaping black clay on a potter’s wheel and firing it unglazed to achieve a firm, durable finish.
Made entirely from black clay, it features a single black color with a matte, non-glossy surface and a simple design.
Potter’s wheel marks can be seen on the body, giving the piece a handmade texture and character.
The wide opening makes it easy to place tea leaves inside, remove them afterward, and clean the teapot.
Because the interior is easy to wash and dries quickly, it can always be kept clean and hygienic.
The overall form is called a bucket shape, gently widening toward the top to create a stable and well-balanced design.
The inner tea strainer is made of ceramic and crafted with great precision, eliminating the need for a metal mesh filter.
Both the tea strainer and the teapot body are entirely handmade, created with the skill and dedication of experienced craftsmen.
