白土をろくろ成形し織部の釉薬を掛けて

作られています。

外側は削ぎが不規則に入れられており、

凹凸のある力強い風合いとなっています。

小石の混じった土が使われているので、

表面に細かい石が見られ、荒々しさが

感じられます。

織部釉の濃淡、土ものの手づくり感を存分に

堪能できる器といえます。

高台の径が広めで安定しており、大ぶりな

It is made by shaping white clay on a potter’s wheel and applying Oribe glaze.

The exterior features irregular “sogi” (carved facets), creating a bold texture with pronounced unevenness.

As clay mixed with small stones is used, fine stone particles can be seen on the surface, giving a rustic and rugged impression.

This vessel allows you to fully appreciate the variations in the Oribe glaze and the handmade character of earthenware.

The foot (kodai) has a relatively wide diameter, providing stability, and its larger size makes it suitable for generous servings of rice.
