讃岐塗から、木製のくりぬき長角盆の
ご紹介です。
栃の木をくりぬいて、職人さんが一ノミ
一ノミ彫って何度も漆をすり込んで
作られています。
すべて手作業で作られた、まさにメイド
インジャパンの職人技が光る逸品です。
とても高い耐久性を誇り、丁寧に扱って
頂ければ、何十年もお使い頂けます。
傷も目立ちにくく、見た目よりも軽く、
気を遣わずに使え木のぬくもりなど最高の
使い心地と良質の質感があります。
表面の無数のノミ彫りを見ただけでも、
大変な手間がかかっていることが
分かります。
大きさはちょうど、煎茶とお菓子をお客様に
出す時に膳として使える小ぶりな
長角盆です。
胴張といってお盆の中央部分が膨らんでいる
ので表面積が大きくて使いやすく
なっています。
煎茶とお菓子を同時に出して一緒に引くこと
ができるので無駄な動きがなく、効率よく
動くことができます。
お抹茶とお菓子でも可能です。
お茶やお菓子をこぼしても、お盆の上なので
机が汚れることがなく、机の掃除をする
手間も省けます。
いいお盆で出すと高級感が漂い、その上の
お茶やお菓子までよく見えます。
お盆の縁が少し上げて作られているので、
器がずり落ちるのを防いでくれます。

Carved from a single block of horse chestnut wood, this piece is meticulously shaped by artisans, who carve it chisel stroke by chisel stroke, and repeatedly rub in layers of lacquer to complete the finish.
Entirely handcrafted, it is a true Made-in-Japan masterpiece that showcases outstanding traditional craftsmanship.
It boasts exceptional durability, and with careful use, it can be enjoyed for decades.
Scratches are less noticeable, it is lighter than it appears, and can be used without excessive concern. It offers the warmth of natural wood, excellent usability, and a refined texture.
Even a glance at the countless chisel marks on the surface reveals the tremendous amount of time and effort invested in its creation.
Its size is ideal as a compact serving tray for presenting sencha tea and sweets to guests.
The tray features a “dōbari” form, with the central area slightly raised, increasing the usable surface area and enhancing ease of use.
You can serve sencha and sweets together and clear them at once, allowing for smooth and efficient movement without unnecessary steps.
It can also be used for matcha and accompanying sweets.
