自然の木をくりぬいて曙（あけぼの）塗りが

施されています。

曙塗りとは下地に朱、上塗りに黒を塗って

研ぎ出してあり、下地の朱が所々に現れ

模様となっています。

木地は木目を生かしたものになっており、

木目の凹凸があり立体的で自然な模様が

特徴となっています。

厚めにくりぬかれた木地は、ぽってりとした

木の温かみを感じて頂けます。

厚めの木地の割に驚くほど軽く、品質の

良さと普段使いにも扱いやすい漆器に

仕上がっています。

外形は花形に作られており、多くの手間が

掛けられ、洒落たデザイン性が特徴と

なっています。

縁は高めなので運び盆としても、

盛皿としても、場合によっては膳としても

使える便利な器です。

Carved from natural wood, it is finished with an Akebono (dawn) coating.

Akebono-nuri is a technique in which a vermilion undercoat is applied, followed by a black topcoat, which is then polished to reveal portions of the vermilion beneath, creating a distinctive pattern.

The wooden base makes use of the natural grain, featuring subtle undulations that give it a three-dimensional and organic appearance.

The thickly carved body has a rounded form, allowing you to feel the warmth of the wood.

Despite its thickness, it is surprisingly lightweight, reflecting its high quality and making it easy to handle for everyday use.

The outer shape is crafted in a floral form, requiring considerable effort and showcasing a refined and stylish design.

With its relatively high rim, it is a versatile piece that can be used as a serving tray, a platter, or even as an individual serving tray (zen) depending on the occasion.
