木を厚手にくり抜き、根来塗を

施した山中塗の漆器です。

根来塗は紀州の根来寺に由来する

伝統的な塗りの技法で、

黒を下塗りし、その上に朱を重ねて

仕上げられています。

上塗りの朱を研ぎ出すことで

下の黒が浮かび上がり、

意図的な模様として表情を生みます。

渦状に盛り上がった線紋の部分だけが

黒く研ぎ出され、独特の景色を

作り出しています。

裏面にも同様の塗りが施されており、

表裏ともに丁寧な仕上がりです。

塗りの刷毛目が手塗りの証として

表面に残り、触れると

滑らかな質感が感じられます。

厚手の木地はしっかりとした

重厚感があり、手にすると

木製ならではの温かみが伝わります。

丸みを帯びた縁と平らな表面で、

茶盆として使いやすい形状です。

縁の外側には面取りが施されており手間が

掛けられています。

漆器の性質上、ご使用後は手早く洗い、

すぐに拭き取ってください。

食洗機・電子レンジのご使用は

お避けください。

Yamanaka Lacquerware, wooden, carved from solid wood, Negoro-style tea tray, 9 sun (27 cm).

This is a piece of Yamanaka lacquerware made by hollowing out a thick block of wood and finished with Negoro lacquer.

Negoro lacquer is a traditional coating technique originating from Negoro-ji Temple in Kishu. It is created by applying a black undercoat and layering vermilion on top.

By polishing the vermilion topcoat, the underlying black emerges, forming intentional patterns and expressions. Only the raised, swirling linear patterns are polished to reveal the black beneath, creating a distinctive appearance.

The same lacquer technique is applied to the reverse side, resulting in a carefully finished piece on both front and back.

Brush marks from the lacquer application remain on the surface as evidence of hand-finishing, and when touched, a smooth texture can be felt.

The thick wooden base provides a solid, weighty presence, and when held, conveys the natural warmth unique to wood.

With its gently rounded rim and flat surface, it is a practical and easy-to-use shape as a tea tray. The outer edge is chamfered, reflecting the care and effort put into its craftsmanship.

Due to the nature of lacquerware, please wash it promptly after use and wipe it dry immediately. Avoid using a dishwasher or microwave.

This is a piece that allows you to appreciate both the expressive contrast of vermilion and black in Negoro lacquer and the warmth of wood.

采用厚实木材整块挖制而成，并施以根来涂工艺的山中涂漆器。

根来涂源自纪州的根来寺，是一种传统的涂漆技法。
先以黑色作底涂，再在其上层层叠加朱漆完成。

通过将表层的朱漆打磨显现，
下层的黑色随之浮现，
形成具有意图性的纹样与独特表情。

仅有呈漩涡状隆起的线纹部分被打磨显黑，
由此营造出独特的视觉景致。

背面亦施以相同的涂装，
正反两面均做工细致精良。

表面保留了涂漆时的刷痕，作为手工涂装的证明，
触摸时可感受到顺滑的质感。

厚实的木胎带来稳重的分量感，
上手时能感受到木制特有的温润气息。

边缘圆润、盘面平整，
作为茶盘使用十分方便。

外侧边缘经过倒角处理，工艺考究。

由于漆器的特性，使用后请尽快清洗，
并立即擦干。
请避免使用洗碗机及微波炉。

这是一件兼具朱与黑交织之美的根来涂表现，
并能感受到木材温润气息的作品。
