木曽塗から木製の風呂桶のご紹介です。

さわらの木を加工し木地にうるしを何度も

塗って作られた桶です。

この桶はお風呂や洗い場などで湯水を汲んで

体などにかけたり、石鹸を泡立てたり、

中ですすいだりする為の桶です。

白木の桶と比べ、全体にうるしが塗ってある

ため耐久性が上がり、また抗菌効果があり、

カビなどが発生しにくく衛生的に永く

胴の木を止めてあるタガは銅製のものが

使われており堅牢で外れにくい仕様と

This bucket is made by processing sawara cypress wood and repeatedly applying layers of urushi lacquer to the wooden base.

It is a bucket used in baths and washing areas for scooping hot or cold water to pour over the body, lathering soap, and rinsing items inside the bucket.

Compared to unfinished white-wood buckets, the entire surface is coated with urushi lacquer, which increases durability, provides antibacterial properties, helps prevent mold growth, and allows it to be used hygienically for many years.

The metal hoops securing the wooden body are made of copper, giving the bucket a sturdy construction that is resistant to coming loose.

Since the hoops are firmly fixed to the body, they are less likely to loosen over time.
