山中塗から木製の汁椀ペアのご紹介です。

木をくりぬいてうるしを塗って

作られています。

根来塗は紀州の根来寺に由来する

伝統的な塗りの技法で、

黒を下塗りし、その上に朱を重ねて

仕上げられています。

上塗りの朱を研ぎ出すことで

下の黒が浮かび上がり、

意図的な模様として表情を生みます。

曙塗りは下地に朱、上塗りに黒を塗って

研ぎ出してあり、下地の朱が所々に現れ

模様となっています。

木地の外側は亀の甲羅のように彫られ、

亀甲彫りと呼ばれています。

内側は凹凸のない使いやすい形状と

なっています。

木製のざっくりとした見た目の雰囲気が

ありますが、実際に持ってみると軽く普段に

使いやすい作りです。

全体に磨きがしっかりとなされているので

表面は滑らかで、すべすべの手触りです。

最上面にすりうるし塗りが施されているので

しっとりとした、うるしの風合いを楽しめる

汁椀に仕上がっています。

Yamanaka Lacquerware – Wooden Carved Hexagonal Turtle-Shell Pattern Soup Bowls – Negoro & Akebono Pair

Introducing this pair of wooden soup bowls from Yamanaka Lacquerware.

Each bowl is crafted by hollowing out a solid piece of wood and applying layers of natural lacquer.

Negoro-nuri is a traditional lacquering technique originating from Negoro-ji Temple in Kishu. A black lacquer undercoat is first applied, followed by a vermilion topcoat. By carefully polishing the vermilion surface, portions of the black underlayer emerge, creating distinctive patterns and rich visual character.

Akebono-nuri is finished in the reverse manner, with a vermilion undercoat and a black topcoat. Through the polishing process, areas of the vermilion base become visible beneath the black surface, forming expressive decorative patterns.

The exterior of each bowl is carved to resemble a turtle’s shell, a technique known as Kikko-bori (turtle-shell carving).

The interior features a smooth, practical shape without any uneven surfaces, making the bowls comfortable and easy to use.

Although the bowls have the rustic appearance characteristic of carved wood, they are surprisingly lightweight when held and are well suited for everyday use.

The entire surface has been carefully polished, resulting in a smooth finish and a silky texture to the touch.

A final coat of suri-urushi (wiped lacquer) has been applied, allowing the user to appreciate the rich, mellow character and natural beauty of lacquer.

These soup bowls offer a refined combination of traditional craftsmanship, practical usability, and the warm texture unique to lacquered wood.

下面为您介绍一套来自山中涂的木制汤碗对碗套装。

本品采用整块木材挖制成型，并施以天然漆涂装制作而成。

根来涂是一种源于纪州根来寺的传统漆艺技法，先以黑漆进行底涂，再在其上层层施以朱漆完成制作。

通过打磨显露表层朱漆，下层黑漆若隐若现地浮现出来，形成富有变化的纹理与独特表情，成为有意营造的装饰效果。

曙涂则是在底层涂朱漆、表层涂黑漆后进行研磨处理，使底层的朱色在局部显现出来，形成独特的纹样。

碗身外侧雕刻成如龟壳般的纹理，这种工艺被称为“龟甲雕”。

内侧则采用没有凹凸起伏的实用造型，使用起来更加方便顺手。

虽然木制器物呈现出朴实粗犷的外观风格，但实际拿在手中却十分轻巧，适合日常使用。

整体经过精细打磨处理，因此表面光滑细腻，触感柔顺舒适。

最外层施有擦漆（素擦漆）工艺，使器物呈现温润柔和的漆器质感，充分展现天然漆独有的韵味，是一款能够长期欣赏和使用的优质汤碗。
