木曽塗から一閑張の文庫のご紹介です。

一閑張（いっかんばり）とは漆工芸の一種で

和紙をうるしで張り重ねたものを器胎とした

漆器をいいます。

大変軽くて変形しづらく、ざんぐりした

味わいがあります。

江戸時代初期に飛来一閑（ひらいいっかん）

が創始したことから、こう呼ばれるように

なりました。

この文庫は厚紙の上に和紙を張り柿渋を塗り

直接うるしを塗って仕上げられています。

純日本紙の楮（こうぞ）、三椏（みつまた）

などの原料の紙を用い、糊などは一切使わず

生漆一本で塗り上げているので、ほとんど

堅地の塗りと遜色ない高級品となります。

和紙の風合い、柿渋とうるしの色が調和し

しっとりとした味わい深いものに

なっています。

複数の異なる素材を重ねているため所々に

凹凸や濃淡などの変化があり手づくりの証と

なっています。

A4紙を余裕で入れられるサイズなので

実用的で使いやすくなっています。

和紙を使っていますので、水洗いは避けて頂き

濡れ布巾で軽く拭く程度にして下さい。

Kiso Lacquerware Ikkanbari Document Box, Urushi Lacquer Finish

Introducing an Ikkanbari document box from Kiso lacquerware.

Ikkanbari is a traditional Japanese lacquer craft in which layers of Japanese paper are applied and reinforced with urushi lacquer to form the body of the piece.

It is exceptionally lightweight, resistant to deformation, and possesses a rustic, handcrafted charm.

The craft came to be known as Ikkanbari because it was originated by Hirai Ikkan during the early Edo period.

This document box is made by applying Japanese paper over thick paperboard, coating it with persimmon tannin (kakishibu), and finishing it directly with urushi lacquer.

Made using traditional Japanese papers produced from natural fibers such as kozo (paper mulberry) and mitsumata, and finished entirely with raw urushi lacquer without the use of any adhesives, it is regarded as a luxury item comparable in quality to rigid-bodied lacquerware.

The natural texture of the washi paper harmonizes beautifully with the colors of the persimmon tannin and urushi lacquer, creating a rich, refined, and elegant appearance.

Because multiple materials are layered together, subtle variations in texture, shading, and surface contours can be seen throughout the piece, serving as evidence of its handmade craftsmanship.

Its generous size easily accommodates A4 documents, making it highly practical and convenient for everyday use.

As it is made with washi paper, please avoid washing it with water. Simply wipe it gently with a damp cloth for cleaning.

其特点是重量极轻、不易变形，并具有质朴自然、粗犷雅致的独特韵味。

由于这种工艺是在江户时代初期由飞来一闲（ひらいいっかん）所创始，因此被称为“一闲张”。

这款文库盒是在厚纸板表面贴覆和纸，涂刷柿涩（柿渋）后，再直接施以天然漆完成制作。
