萩焼から宝瓶（ほうひん）のご紹介です。

「宝瓶」とは持ち手のない急須のことで、

煎茶道などでも使う玉露などのいいお茶を

出す時に使う器です。

持ち手がないのは元来玉露などのいいお茶を

出す時は熱湯を用いず、湯冷ましなどで

一旦冷まして温度を下げてから使うので

熱くて持てない程にはならないということで

持ち手が付いていません。

また、金気が出ないように金属製の網はなく

注ぎ口の内側に穴があいています。

容量は満水で１５０ｃｃで一人分の容量です。

茶色の土をろくろ挽きし白釉を掛けて

作られています。

力強い造形で口が広く茶葉が入れやすく、

捨てやすく、洗いやすい使いやすい形状と

なっています。

作り手の高い技術が詰まったシンプルで

永く使える逸品です。

Hagi Ware Handmade Hōhin Teapot, White Glaze, 150 cc

We are pleased to introduce this Hōhin teapot from Hagi Ware.

A “Hōhin” is a teapot without a handle. It is used when serving fine teas such as Gyokuro, including in Senchado, the Japanese tea ceremony centered on steeped tea.

The reason it has no handle is that fine teas such as Gyokuro are traditionally prepared not with boiling water, but with water that has first been cooled to a lower temperature using a cooling vessel or similar method. Therefore, the teapot does not become too hot to hold, making a handle unnecessary.

In addition, there is no metal strainer inside the teapot, so that the tea will not acquire a metallic taste. Instead, small holes are made on the inside of the spout to filter the tea leaves.

The full capacity is 150 cc, which is an appropriate serving size for one person.

It is made by throwing brown clay on a potter’s wheel and then applying a white glaze.

Its bold, powerful form has a wide opening, making it easy to add tea leaves, discard them after use, and wash the teapot. It is a highly practical and easy-to-use shape.

现为您介绍一款来自萩烧的宝瓶（ほうひん）。

“宝瓶”是指没有把手的茶壶，是在煎茶道等场合冲泡玉露等高品质茶叶时使用的茶具。

之所以没有把手，是因为冲泡玉露等高品质茶叶时，原本不会使用沸腾的热水，而是先将热水倒入汤冷（湯冷まし）中，使水温降低后再使用。因此，茶壶不会热到无法用手拿取的程度，所以没有配备把手。

另外，为了避免产生金属味，壶内没有使用金属滤网，而是在壶嘴的内侧开有滤茶孔。

容量为装满水时150毫升，是一人份的容量。

采用棕色陶土拉坯成型，再施以白釉烧制而成。

造型浑厚有力，壶口宽大，茶叶容易放入，也便于倒出茶叶和清洗，是一款非常实用、使用方便的造型。
