萩焼から白釉の組湯呑のご紹介です。
こげ茶色の小石が混じった粗めの土を
ろくろ成形し白い釉薬を掛けて
作られています。
内外にろくろ目が残され持つと手に
しっくりと馴染みます。
正面にはえくぼが作られ、親指を置く場所が
あり持ちやすくなっています。
形はほぼ寸胴型で口は若干外側に反った
羽反り型で飲みやすくなっています。
高台は萩特有の切高台となっており、特徴と
なっています。
高台の付近は釉薬の上からでも土の風合いが
見られ、荒々しく力強い雰囲気と
なっています。
使い込んで頂くと「萩の七変化」を楽しんで
頂けます。
白釉はお茶の色がきれいに見え、その風合い
からお茶を美味しく楽しんで頂ける
湯呑といえます。

Hagi Ware – White-Glazed, “Dimpled,” Handmade Pair of Tea Cups
This is a pair of white-glazed yunomi tea cups from Hagi ware.
They are made by wheel-throwing a coarse clay body containing dark brown pebbles and applying a white glaze.
The marks left by the potter’s wheel remain both inside and outside, allowing the cups to fit comfortably and naturally in the hand.
A “dimple” has been made on the front of each cup, providing a natural place for the thumb and making the cups easy to hold.
The shape is almost cylindrical, while the rim is slightly turned outward in a hazori-style form, making the cups comfortable for drinking.
The foot is finished in Hagi’s characteristic kirikōdai (cut foot) style, which is one of the distinctive features of Hagi ware.
Around the foot, the texture of the clay can still be seen through the glaze, creating a rugged and powerful appearance.
As you continue to use the cups over time, you can enjoy the “seven transformations of Hagi” (Hagi no nanahenge), a characteristic of Hagi ware in which the appearance gradually changes through use.
The white glaze allows the color of the tea to be seen beautifully, and its gentle texture makes these cups ideal for enjoying tea at its best.

萩烧 白釉 酒窝 手工制作 成对茶杯

杯子内外均保留了拉坯时留下的旋纹，拿在手中能够自然贴合手部，握感十分舒适。

整体形状近似直筒型，杯口略微向外翻，为“羽反”式杯口，饮用起来更加顺畅。
底足采用萩烧特有的“切高台”造型，是其一大特色。
靠近底足的部分，即使隔着釉料，也能够看到陶土本身的质感，呈现出粗犷而有力量的风格。
