飛騨春慶塗から木製の進物盆（金封盆）の

材料は樹齢２００年以上の天然木を使い、
板状に挽いたものを反りや変形を防ぐために
数年間乾燥させます。
こうして初めて木地を使うことが出来ます。
また、塗りに関しても、本うるし塗りと
なっており、うるし塗りの何とも言えない、
艶や風合いは一流品といえるものです。
これも熟練の技術が必要となります。
塗りの工程は木地磨き、目止め、着色と
下塗り、仕上げ磨き、すり漆、コクソ巻き、
すり漆、上塗り、乾燥と少なくとも、
９つの塗の工程があります。
乾燥時には、ゴミやホコリが付かないように
注意したり、「塗りだれ」を防ぐために、
一定の時間ごとに反回転させながら、
乾燥させていきます。
本物のうるし塗は、時が経っても風合いの
良さが持続し耐久性もあります。
「金封盆」は、お礼やお祝いなどのお金を
祝儀袋や封筒に入れて先方に差し出す時に、
上にのせて使うお盆のことです。
冠婚葬祭すべて正式な行事に使われる
お盆です。
別名、祝儀盆とか切手盆とも言いますが、
お寺様にお布施を出す時にも使うため
ここでは「金封盆」という名前と
なっています。
正式には、特にお寺様にお布施を出す時に、
直接手渡すのは良くないと言われています
ので、金封盆にのせてお出しすることが
よしとされています。

Hida Shunkei Lacquerware Wooden Gift Tray (Money Envelope Tray), Large — Genuine Urushi Lacquer
This is a wooden gift tray (money envelope tray) from Hida Shunkei Lacquerware.
The material is natural wood from trees that are more than 200 years old. The wood is cut into boards and then dried for several years to prevent warping and deformation.
Only after this process can the wood be used as a proper wooden base.

During the drying process, great care is taken to prevent dust and dirt from adhering to the surface. To prevent the lacquer from running or sagging, the tray is rotated 180 degrees at regular intervals while it dries.
