Mino Ware Oribe Handcrafted Rice Bowl — Small
We are pleased to introduce this handcrafted rice bowl from Mino ware.
It is made by shaping white clay on a potter’s wheel and applying Oribe glaze.
The exterior features irregularly carved facets, creating a powerful texture with a distinctive uneven surface.
The clay contains small stones, which can be seen here and there on the surface, giving the bowl a rugged and rustic character.
This is a piece that allows you to fully appreciate the variations in the Oribe glaze, as well as the warm, handcrafted character of traditional tsuchimono (unglazed or minimally processed clay-based pottery).
The foot is relatively wide, providing good stability. Its compact size also makes it a comfortable rice bowl for women to use.
