京焼から小野山若水 作の手づくり抹茶碗の
ご紹介です。
赤茶色の土をろくろ成形し、白い釉薬が
掛けられ、蔦（つた）が手描きされて
作られています。
内側は全面に白釉が掛けられ、外側は
上部３分の２に釉薬が掛けられ、
土の表情を見せています。
釉薬の上に蔦の葉が大胆に描かれ、
風情のある雰囲気が出ています。
葉は金、朱、緑、黄と多彩な色で描かれ、
色彩豊かな色合いとなっています。
蔓の艶のある深い緑が映え、金色で葉脈が
描かれ豪華さのある画が描かれています。
細やかで繊細な絵柄は優しい雰囲気があり
色絵の美しさと白釉の風合い、生地の土の
荒々しい味わいの３つを同時に味わえる
抹茶碗となっています。
生地は薄手で、ろくろ成形の技術の高さが
感じられ、持つと軽くて繊細な雰囲気が
あります。
正面には一箇所えくぼが作られ変化が
付けられ、見所がたくさんある抹茶碗と
なっています。

Kyo-yaki Matcha Bowl by Jakusui – Ivy Design, White Glaze
We are pleased to introduce this handmade matcha bowl by Jakusui Onoyama from Kyo-yaki (Kyoto ware).
It is made by wheel-throwing reddish-brown clay, applying a white glaze, and hand-painting ivy leaves onto the surface.
The entire interior is covered with white glaze, while approximately the upper two-thirds of the exterior is glazed, allowing the natural character and texture of the clay to show through.
Ivy leaves are boldly painted over the glaze, creating an elegant and atmospheric appearance.
The leaves are painted in a variety of colors, including gold, vermilion, green, and yellow, resulting in a rich and colorful design.
The glossy, deep green vines stand out beautifully, while the leaf veins are painted in gold, creating a luxurious and ornate pictorial design.
The delicate and intricate pattern has a gentle and graceful atmosphere. This matcha bowl allows you to appreciate three different qualities at once: the beauty of the overglaze painting, the texture of the white glaze, and the rugged, earthy character of the clay body.
The clay body is thinly formed, demonstrating the high level of wheel-throwing craftsmanship. It feels light in the hand and has a delicate, refined character.
A single dimple has been created on the front of the bowl, adding variation to its form. With many details to appreciate, this is a matcha bowl with plenty of visual interest.
