山中塗から木製の八卦盆（はっけぼん）のご紹介です。

八卦盆とは本来、茶道裏千家で使う盆で真塗に青貝で

八つの卦に象嵌したものが正式となるようです。

八卦とは、「当たるも八卦、当たらぬも八卦」といわれるように

占いに使う八種類の算木の組み合わせのことです。

その八種類の算木の組み合わせが、盆に描かれています。

本来、真塗であるのを掻き合せにして,傷などを目立ちにくくし

青貝を朱塗にすることで価格を抑えています。

掻き合せにすることで、木目が見えるので木製であることが

誰からも一目瞭然で分かります。

昔からあるお盆ですが、古さを感じさせず新しい勢いを感じます。

径は尺1寸（33㎝）ありますが、木製のため大変軽く扱いやすくなっています。

お盆の縁は少し高めですが、弧を描くように丸みを帯びた形状の為

使いやすくなっています。

座面は広く真っ平らなので、スペース効率が大変よく使えるお盆といえます。

Yamanaka Lacquerware – Wooden Hakke-bon Tray – Scraped Pattern Finish – Sen Wood – Urushi Lacquer

We are pleased to introduce a wooden Hakke-bon tray from Yamanaka lacquerware.

The Hakke-bon is originally a tray used in the Urasenke school of tea ceremony, with the orthodox form being black polished lacquer (shin-nuri) inlaid with blue-shell (mother-of-pearl) designs representing the eight kake (trigrams).

The term hakke refers to the eight combinations of divination sticks used in fortune-telling—hence the familiar expression “ataru mo hakke, ataranu mo hakke.”
These eight combinations are depicted on the tray.

While the orthodox style is shin-nuri, this example features a kaki-awase (scraped pattern) finish, which helps prevent scratches from showing, and the blue-shell inlay pattern is rendered in vermilion, helping to keep the price accessible.

Because the kaki-awase finish allows the wood grain to remain visible, it is immediately apparent that the tray is made of natural wood.

Although based on a traditional tray form, it maintains a fresh and contemporary feel without appearing old-fashioned.

Despite its generous 33 cm diameter, it is extremely lightweight thanks to its wooden construction, making it easy to handle.
The rim is slightly elevated, but its softly rounded arc provides ease of use.
The surface is wide and completely flat, allowing the tray to utilize space very efficiently.

八卦盆原本是茶道裏千家所使用的托盘，
正式的八卦盆为真漆涂，并以青贝嵌入八个卦象图案。

“八卦”正如俗语“有准是八卦，无准也是八卦”所说，
指用于占卜的八种算木的组合。
这些八种算木组合的图案被描绘在托盘上。

原本应为真漆涂，但此款采用“掻合せ”工艺，使刮痕不易显现，
并将青贝改为朱涂，从而降低成本。

由于采用掻合せ工艺，木纹得以呈现，
一眼即可看出是木制品。

虽然属于自古以来的传统托盘，但并不显陈旧，
反而能感受到新颖的气势与活力。

直径为尺一寸（33cm），但因木制材质，非常轻盈易于使用。
托盘的缘稍高，但呈弧形圆润设计，因此更便于操作。

盘面宽阔且完全平坦，因此空间利用效率极佳，
可谓非常实用的托盘。
