越前塗から木製の薄板（花台）の丸型のご紹介です。

薄板とは、花入の下に敷く薄い板で、床の間などに花入を飾る時に

花台のような役割をします。

蛤端（はまぐりば）とは、この薄板の端の部分が、貝の蛤の合口のような

尖った形に仕上げられているものをいいます。

この薄板は「真・行・草」の「行」の部類に入ります。

「真」は仏様や貴人への供茶などの献茶に類する正式な茶事で

「行」は「真」と「草」の中間になります。

この薄板に合わせる花入も「行」の花入をセレクトして頂くと

より引き立つと思われます。

茶道では、施釉の国焼や木や竹の花入れを使うことになっていますが

絶対というわけではなく、その時々の周りの状況や使う花入れの

雰囲気や風合いによって、最適な薄板をセレクトして頂ければＯＫです。

置き物や飾り物などを置いて頂いてもよく、自由な使い方が出来ます。

角では大き過ぎたり、角型の花入れには丸の花台が合う場合がございます。

Introducing a round wooden thin board (usuita) flower stand finished in Echizen lacquer.

A usuita is a thin board placed beneath a flower vase, serving the role of a flower stand when displaying a vase in the alcove (tokonoma), for example.

Hamaguriba refers to an edge finish in which the rim of the board is shaped to a pointed form resembling the joined lips of a clam (hamaguri).

This thin board belongs to the category of Gyō within the “Shin–Gyō–Sō” ranking system. Shin represents the most formal level, such as tea ceremonies for offering tea to deities or esteemed guests, while Gyō is the middle level between Shin and Sō.

Pairing this board with a flower vase classified as Gyō will enhance the overall harmony even further.

In the tea ceremony, it is customary to use flower vases made of unglazed or glazed local ware (kuni-yaki), wood, or bamboo, but this is not an absolute rule. Depending on the surrounding environment, as well as the character and texture of the flower vase you are using, you may freely select the most suitable thin board.

It can also be used as a stand for ornaments or decorative objects—there are many free and versatile applications.

In situations where a square stand is too large, or when a square flower vase pairs best with a round stand, this type can be an ideal choice. With its simplicity, it is a refined piece that can be used for many years.

所谓“薄板”，是指铺放在花入（花器）下方的一块薄板，在床之间等处陈设花入时，起到如花台般的装饰与衬托作用。

“蛤端”是指薄板的边缘部分被加工成如蛤蜊壳闭合处一般的尖形轮廓。

此薄板属于「真・行・草」中间的「行」的类别。

“真”用于供奉佛前或贵人等献茶之类的正式茶事，而“行”则处于“真”和“草”之间的等级。

搭配此薄板时，选择同样属于“行”类别的花入，将更能相互衬托、相得益彰。
