有田焼から赤絵の蓋付湯呑５客揃えのご紹介です。

蓋も身も外側には全面に赤絵が手描きで描かれています。

かなり細かく描かれており、大変な手間と技術が注がれています。

草花の柄で葉は緑色の釉薬が使われており、生地の白磁に

赤絵と緑釉がとても映えています。

通常蓋付の湯呑は、普通の蓋なしの湯呑く比べると一回り大きく

茶托も４．５寸の大きめのものに変える必要がありますが

この蓋付き湯呑は小ぶりなので、４寸の茶托でも使えそうです。

逆に蓋なしで、普通の湯呑としても使えます。

径が小さく高さと深さがある形状をしています。

コンパクトですが、中身がぎゅっと凝縮された内容の濃いのに

リーズナブルな逸品と言えます。

Arita Ware – Akae (Red Overglaze) “Ancient Floral Design” Lidded Teacups – Set of 5

Introducing a set of five lidded teacups in Akae (red overglaze) style, crafted in Arita ware.

Both the lids and the cups are entirely decorated by hand with detailed Akae painting. The designs are rendered with remarkable intricacy, reflecting an impressive level of skill and craftsmanship.

The motifs depict flowers and plants, with the leaves painted using a green glaze. The vivid contrast between the white porcelain body, the red overglaze, and the green glaze creates a beautifully striking appearance.

Ordinarily, lidded teacups are slightly larger than standard open teacups and require larger saucers—typically 4.5 sun (about 13.5 cm) instead of the usual 4 sun (about 12 cm).
However, these particular lidded teacups are relatively compact, making them suitable for use even with 4 sun saucers.

They can also be used without the lids as ordinary teacups. Their shape features a relatively small diameter with a taller, deeper body.
