清水焼から手づくりの焼き締め大皿のご紹介です。

径が３４．５㎝もある、大きく迫力のある大皿です。

表面は薄いグレーの無地でナチュラル感のあるデザインです。

緩やかに渕が少し上がっており、中央部が下がっているので

多少の汁気のあるお料理でも盛りつけることが出来ます。

表面は釉薬がかかっており、つるっとしており、扱いやすくなっています。

両サイドに布目のついた渋めの耳が付いており、デザインとなっています。

裏側はガラッと違い、濃いグレーの渋い色をしており、布で押して

布目を付けたものとなっています。

脚が三つ付いており、皿自体が浮いているような感じで特別感があります。

全体の色目も控えめなので、お料理を引き立ててくれます。

また、微妙に変形している様子も手作り感が出ていて、

とても味わいのある風合いが出ています。

Kiyomizu Ware Handmade Unglazed Large Plate with Feet

We are pleased to introduce a handmade yakishime (unglazed) large plate from Kiyomizu ware.

With a diameter of 34.5 cm, this is a generously sized plate with an impressive presence.

The surface is finished in a plain light gray, giving it a natural and understated design.

The rim is gently raised while the center is slightly recessed, making it suitable even for dishes with a bit of sauce or broth.

Although it is a yakishime piece, the surface has been coated with glaze, giving it a smooth texture and making it easy to handle.

On both sides, subdued handles with fabric-impressed textures are attached, serving as a design accent.

In contrast to the front, the reverse side has a deep gray tone with fabric-impressed patterns created by pressing cloth onto the clay.

The plate is supported by three small feet, giving it a slightly elevated look and a sense of refinement.

The subdued overall color highlights the presentation of food beautifully.

Slight irregularities in shape also enhance the handmade quality, lending the piece a distinctive character and charm.
