緑のさわやかな色合いが特徴のきれいな色の茶碗蒸しです。

緑色の部分は濃（だみ）という技法で塗られています。

濃（だみ）とは、輪郭を描いてその中を、塗り絵のように塗りつぶしていく

技法で、色の濃淡を表現することができます。

濃の周りには、瓢箪（ひょうたん）が染付の濃淡２種類で描かれており

変化がつけられています。

また、蓋にも身にもそれぞれ６つの瓢箪が描かれています。

これは「六瓢」は読み方の「無病」（むびょう）、「無病息災」（むびょうそくさい）

「病気をせず、元気でいられますように」という

意味を込めた縁起のいい器です。

This refined chawanmushi vessel is distinguished by its refreshing green hue. The green areas are painted using the dami technique—a method in which an outlined area is filled in, much like coloring in a drawing, allowing for nuanced gradations of color.

Around the dami section, gourd (hyōtan) motifs are rendered in two variations of underglaze blue shading, adding visual interest. Both the lid and the cup body are each decorated with six gourds. The number “six gourds” (Mubyō) is a homophone for “mubyō” (無病), meaning “free from illness,” and the phrase mubyō sokusai (無病息災) conveys the wish for “good health and safety.” This makes the piece a vessel of auspicious symbolism.

The rim is accented with green glaze, and the cup comes with a straight-sided saucer designed for both visual harmony and practicality. The vertical shape helps prevent spills, keeping the table clean.
