器の表面には流水を想わせる比較的まとまった細かい筋が無数に入れられ

模様となっています。

濃紺の落ち着いた釉薬が掛けられ、釉薬の濃淡が現れる一方、筋の上部が白い線状の

模様となって浮かび上がっています。

手作業で施された線は不規則な模様を作り出しており、手づくりの味わいと

動きのあるデザインとなっています。

お寿司や刺身の盛り合わせカニやフグなどの魚介類や、鍋などの具を盛る器として

This large rectangular plate by Tsunetsugu Kato is crafted in Akazu ware style.

It is formed from a slab of clay with the edges slightly raised and subtly altered to create its shape.
The surface is decorated with countless fine, continuous lines that evoke the flow of water, giving the piece a distinctive pattern.

A deep, subdued navy-blue glaze is applied, with natural variations in tone. Along the raised lines, the glaze thins, revealing delicate white streaks that stand out against the darker background.

These hand-incised lines create an irregular, organic design, adding both the warmth of handcrafting and a sense of movement.

Ideal for serving sushi or sashimi assortments, seafood such as crab or fugu, or the ingredients for a hot pot, it also enhances the presentation of a wide variety of dishes.
