清水焼から手づくりのコーヒー碗皿のご紹介です。

薄茶色の土をろくろ挽きして作られており

薄手で繊細な造形となっています。

外側は落ち着いた茶色の釉薬で仕上げられており

シックな風合いになっています。

内側の上部に中近東の幾何学文様であるアラベスクの柄が描かれており、

緑や黄色、ピンク、黒など様々な色が使われています。

一部分にしか描かれていませんが、他がほぼ無地なので

よく目立ち全体のバランスが取られています。

カップは小ぶりで薄手で繊細になっており、作り手の技術の高さが

伺われます。

口は羽反りになっており飲みやすくなっています。

ソーサーもシンプルですがきっちり作られています。

Kiyomizu Ware – Handmade Coffee Cup and Saucer – Arabesque Design

We are pleased to present this handmade coffee cup and saucer set from Kiyomizu ware.

Crafted on a potter’s wheel using light brown clay, the piece is thin and delicately formed, showcasing refined craftsmanship.

The exterior is finished with a subdued brown glaze, giving it an elegant and understated appearance.

Along the upper interior of the cup, a traditional Middle Eastern geometric arabesque pattern is hand-painted, featuring a harmonious blend of green, yellow, pink, black, and other colors.

Though the decoration is limited to a portion of the cup, the rest remains largely unadorned, allowing the design to stand out prominently and maintain an overall sense of balance.

The cup is small, thin-walled, and exquisitely delicate, clearly reflecting the high level of skill of its maker.

The rim gently curves outward in a hazori (flared) shape, making it pleasant to drink from.
