佐藤浄清 作の炉用の釜の紹介です。

佐藤浄清は山形県出身の釜師で

無形文化財保持者です。

炉釜は茶道で炉の季節（１１月～４月）に

使う大ぶりなもので畳に切った炉に入れて

使う釜となります。

形は肩が張り（肩衝）口が反った（繰口）

凛とした端正な形をしています。

釜肌は細やかな凹凸があって質感が高く、

グレー系のおとなしめの色合いで

永く愛用できる風合いとなっています。

釜の表裏にそれぞれ異なる老松紋様があり、

表面の方が多くの文様が施されています。

松は一年中青々としていることから、

季節を問わず一年中使うことが出来ます。

釻付きは松ぼっくりの形を模したものに

作られており、文様と統一性を持たせた

洒落た作りとなっています。

蓋は濃いこげ茶色で摘みは茶色の丸形で

凝った作りがされており高級感があります。

永く使い込んで頂いて釜肌表面の変化を

楽しんで頂ける釜といえます。

The hearth kettle is a large kettle used during the hearth season (November to April) in the tea ceremony, designed to be placed in a sunken hearth area cut into tatami mats.

Its shape features a broad shoulder (kata-tsuki) and a curved spout (kuri-guchi), giving it a dignified and elegant appearance.

The surface of the kettle has a fine texture with subtle indentations, and it boasts a muted gray color that allows for long-term enjoyment.

The kettle showcases different old pine patterns on its front and back, with the front adorned with a greater number of designs.

Since pine remains green throughout the year, this kettle can be used in any season.

The handle is designed to resemble a pine cone, creating a stylish coherence with the patterns.

The lid is a deep dark brown, with a brown round knob that features intricate craftsmanship, exuding a sense of luxury.
