美濃焼　赤絵　水指

美濃焼から茶道で使う赤絵の水指の

ご紹介です。

水指とは茶道の席中で釜に補給する水や、

茶碗や茶筅をすすぐ水を蓄えておく器です。

外側ほぼ全面にわたって赤絵の柄が

びっしりと描かれています。

間取りの中に花が大胆に描かれ、麻の葉柄に

似た格子柄が細かく表現されています。

赤絵以外にも緑や金色が使われ、それぞれ

さわやかさと豪華な雰囲気が

よく出ています。

側面の柄と蓋の表面の柄はほぼ同じで、

縮小した柄で統一感を持たせ

生地は型で作られてはいますが、絵付けは

しっかりと描かれています。

生地自体は軽く、取り扱いもしやすく

なっています。

これだけの絵付けがなされているので、

コストパフォーマンスが非常に高く

十分なクオリティーがあるといえます。

Mino Ware Akae (Red Painting) Mizusashi (Water Container)

The exterior of the mizusashi is almost completely covered with intricate red-painted designs.

Bold flowers are depicted within the patterns, and a detailed lattice design, resembling the hemp leaf pattern, is also featured.
